A bear carries a forest inside of its soul
Baring truth to the nature that hides in the folds
Of the trees.
Belly up she surrenders the sunlight is warm
Barely waking the hum of the honey bees swarm
As she ambles through leaves and crisp crackles are heard
The forest it speaks though it speaks not in words
Of the nature that hides in the folds
Of the trees.
Demystify me of this fog that endures
Where so many are deaf to the sound not of words
How the roar of the beasts doesn’t strike them to freeze
Not the howl of the wolf, soft caress of the breeze
Go on talking and talking and silence waits there
In the breath of of the birds and the light on the leaves.
She is the weight so no burden is felt
Shining down from the sky, in a cave, under pelt
Baring teeth, razor claws, for only to feast
And to forage and fight off what causes unease
Protector of all that she carries inside
The truth of the nature that hides in the folds
Of the trees.
