Botanical Installation × Live Performance “THE LOST EDEN” by Makoto Azuma
A New Yorker article floated by my facebook news feed a few weeks ago entitled 'Flower Punk'. As a floral designer, this of course, commanded my attention and with a click I was transported to Tokyo where Azuma Makoto has his floral studio, which looks more like a futuristic botanical laboratory. This 30 minute documentary told the story of a boy who grew up in rural Japan, wanting nothing more than to leave and follow his passion for punk music. He lands a job working in a flower shop, and the rest is a story so original and inspiring, full of such devotion, care and friendship that I couldn't help but share it with you here.
